Oh boy did the alleged rape case by DSK just take a wild turn…
The sexual assault case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn is on the verge of collapse as investigators have uncovered major holes in the credibility of the housekeeper who charged that he attacked her in his Manhattan hotel suite in May, according to two well-placed law enforcement officials.
It gets bad from here. The Times is reporting that roughly $100,000 was deposited into her bank account by a man arrested for possession of 400lbs of weed. Apparently there are multiple depositors and locations where the deposits came from.
If this proves up then the obvious question is whether there was some sort of rather complicated scheme to politically destroy Strauss-Kahn and, if so, exactly who was involved in it – and why?
At this point, assuming that the report in the Times is accurate, I’m very interested in whether that trail is followed to its logical conclusion. And no, I won’t take a wager on that happening.
PS: I remain steadfast in my astonishment, however, that high-profile political figures seem to think that screwing women other than their wife – while married – is some sort of “perfectly ok” sport. But for unzipping the pants this sort of event, whether ginned up or not, whether simply a sexual scandal or an alleged felony, obviously can’t happen.
