Open Letter from a Marine Tea Partier to All Occupiers

First of all, I’m surprised you’re reading this. Thanks to the corrupt media, many of you might be clueless to the fact we share quite a bit of commonground.

Let me clarify: By “Tea Party,” I am in no way referring to the hijacked movement we know and love today. By “Tea Party,” I don’t mean Iran warmongers, bailout lovers, the “extreme right,” and people who think what happens in your bedroom affects them in any way. No, what I mean is the Tea Party as it started in 2007 as opposition to Bush policies.

The media loves to paint a picture of OWS vs. TP, “right” vs. “left,” etc. It’s an old tactic called divide and conquer. If we fight amongst ourselves, no one looks at the true criminals at work in society.

Of course, Fox loves to make corporations out to be our “capitalist saviors.” They’ll cover every corrupt government action they can find (if there’s a Democrat in the White House), but they won’t admit the greed of the mega banks and corporations. They rarely talk about the private Federal Reserve system and how it robs the lower and middle classes of their wealth via inflation. MSNBC is no better. They do point out how the corporations literally stole trillions of dollars from the American people through the bailouts and the Fed. However, for some reason they’re hard-pressed to admit these actions are carried out by government guns. CNN is STILL no better. In their effort to be “right down the middle” they don’t point out any of the criminals! Whether in the corporate world or the government.

And by the way, we do need to start calling actions like the bailouts what they are: Theft. The corporations, through their rental politicians, used government force to take from the people trillions of dollars. If we refuse to pay the taxes to pay this “debt” off we face risk of government guns carrying us off to jail. That is the very definition of theft.

This brings us back to the commonground we share. The original Tea Party (not counting the historical Boston Tea Party) was focused on ending the corporatist (fascist?) model ourselves. The original Tea Party was for ending the wars and against policing the world. We are against legislation that invades privacy of citizens here and abroad. Think unPatriot Act and the recently passed NDAA bill. The NDAA gives the military the authority to raid homes without warrants and imprison citizens indefinitely without trial.

If we actually want to change this country, we have to unite on issues like these and others. General Assemblies: invite Tea Party groups to participate. If you can find shared values organize joint protests. If you can find local Tea Parties that want to occupy with you, encourage it.

The system we live under is a corporatist model rapidly deteriorating into a fascist police state. The reason I added “Marine” to the heading of this letter was to (hopefully) attract active duty servicemembers, veterans, and law enforcement. We took an oath to the Constitution in order to join. The oath clearly gives us not only the option, but the responsibility to disobey ALL illegal orders. The police attacking peaceful protesters in the streets are in direct violation of that oath. If you are attacking peaceful people you are already on the wrong side of history.

Remember, focus on commonground. Just don’t look to government to be our saviors. Our politicians (yes, including our President) are bought and paid for by corporations and the mega banks. In fact, Obama’s biggest campaign donor is Goldman Sachs. His Treasury Secretary worked at Goldman Sachs himself. Why do you think some Europeans call us the United States of Goldman Sachs?

Semper Fi and Semper Occupare. Because nothing would terrify the establishment more than a united Occupy Tea Party movement.

‘Tea Party’ Leadership Supports Bankster Felonies #TCOT

But you, the common man, does not have to.

Many have asked why I became so critical of the “Tea Party” around the election in 2010, and why I’ve continued that criticism since.  You can look up the articles; they’re many and varied.

My view has just been validated by a major lobbying organization in DC with the following memo:

According to the memo, if Democrats embrace OWS, “This would mean more than just short-term political discomfort for Wall Street. … It has the potential to have very long-lasting political, policy and financial impacts on the companies in the center of the bullseye.”

The memo also suggests that Democratic victories in 2012 should not be the ABA’s biggest concern. “… (T)he bigger concern,” the memo says, “should be that Republicans The Tea Party will no longer defend Wall Street companies.”

Two of the memo’s authors, partners Sam Geduldig and Jay Cranford, previously worked for House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio. Geduldig joined CLGC before Boehner became speaker; Cranford joined CLGC this year after serving as the speaker’s assistant for policy.A third partner, Steve Clark, is reportedly is reportedly “tight” with Boehner, according to a story by Roll Call that CLGC features on its website.

Got it folks?  “Your” (The Tea Party’s) political party has been defending the acts that led into the mess we are in today and continue to do so.  The fear is that they might stop doing so.

Remember this Ticker from the other day?

The political folks who utterly refuse to address this issue – including the so-called “Tea Party” (Joe Walsh anyone?  Or how about Steve Southerland?) are simply pointing out that you are considered peasants and under the boot of an imperious King who grants those in his favor the right to screw you with impunity.

If you continue to support and vote for these jackals on either side of the aisle — if you continue to provide consent of the governed to the government under those terms — then you’re consenting to being screwed.

It’s that simple folks

You want to know why “OWS” is right?  It’s found right here in this sort of so-called “justice” that the SEC is trying to mete out.  And don’t start this crap about it only being “Democrats” that do this sort of thing: The Republican Party controls The House which means it also controls appropriation of funds and could literally close any department or agency that refused to bring actual prosecutions and demand actual jail sentences.

Along with this chart:

Note that under “three strikes” laws any person who had three dots on that line above would be locked up for life.  Therefore, any firm with three dots or more under the very same rule of law must not be allowed to continue to exist.

How can this continual, repeated and intentional violation of the law happen?  There’s only one way: The institutions involved have to be protected by the government.  But the government’s job in this instance is to prosecute such actions, not protect those who engage in them.

It is the very protection of these sorts of acts that in fact led to the American Revolution!

Go read that linked Ticker again and understand this folks: The Wall Streeters and lobbyists know that if the common man Tea Partier and Occupy Wall Streeter come together and execute non-violent decisive action — such as a national general strike until the rule of law is enforced — their game is over.

And what is their “game”?  That’s simple: They’re robbing you.  Serially, intentionally, even violently using the force of government to obtain your property under fraudulent pretense.

“They” know the risk if you put away the divisive rhetoric and foolish name-calling and instead come together and, as the actual 99%, withdraw your consent to being screwed.

There is only question remaining: Are you up to the challenge?

Common Sense And The Rapidly-Incoming Tide #OWS #TCOT

The tide is turning……

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Occupy Memphis member Mallory Pope had just finished telling a group of about 75 tea party followers Thursday night that politicians should not allow themselves to be influenced by lobbyists and unions when she received an unexpected invitation.

“It sounds to me that y’all ought to be joining us,” said Jerry Rains, a 64-year-old computer programmer and tea party member. “You have a lot of the same goals we have, which is to take our country back.”

Pope and fellow Occupy Memphis protester Tristan Tran had a lively, sometimes strained and confrontational, but mostly civil discussion with members of the Mid-South Tea Party at a municipal meeting hall outside Memphis.

The factions saw eye-to-eye on some issues and clashed on others. And, while the young speakers didn’t change many minds, they did earn praise from the tea party members for their passion, honesty and courage.

THIS.

You want change?  You want to see actual change?

Then you have to stop doing things that don’t work — by your own experience — and embrace those that do work, whether you agree with every single point on the table or not.

I will never find “consensus” with my views if I insist that every point of what I would use as a platform were I to run for office be adhered to in order to participate.  Were that to be my standard there is only one way I’d find common ground, and that is if I was to be crowned a dictator!

That’s not America folks, and God willing, it never will be.

Face it folks: The Tea Party was maligned as a bunch of redneck racist cross-burning KKK members by the hard-left political establishment.  I called that sort of crap what it is at the time: Bigotry and over the line.

So what is when the hard-right maligns Occupy as a bunch of dope-smoking communists and marxists?  The exact same thing: Bigotry and far over the line.

Are there “dope-smoking hippies” in Occupy?  I’m sure there are.  I’m also sure there are redneck racists within the Tea Party.  But the presence of those who would try to exploit something for their own puerile purpose does not make the movement, nor does it constitute endorsement by that movement.

Here’s reality folks: The Tea Party, if we are talking about what founded the Tea Party — the Santelli Scream if you will, of if you prefer my original Tea Bag Ticker, which is this singular message, is where we need to find that common ground and focus:

So long as we have an inauguration drawing this sort of crowd and not a protest about our government blowing $700 billion of our dollars so that The Pigmen of Wall Street can continue to rob our nation blind, then saddle us with the bill when their bets go bad, we will see no solution.

I cannot take credit for the idea floated on the forum, but I do like it.

It is time for We The People to send a strong message to Washington DC – no more.  No more loading our children and grandchildren with debt.  No more bailing out speculators and bankers who made bets they knew were unsafe at the time.  No more bailing out people who came to Congress to demand the removal of leverage limits, got what they asked for, then blew themselves up with the very leverage they demanded to be able to use.

No more.

Therefore, on February 1st, which is more than enough time for Barack Obama to be seated in his chair in the West Wing, I am recommending an act of peaceful, lawful and yet unmistakable protest.

That is, to mail President Obama one teabag.  Nothing dangerous, nothing illegal – just one teabag.

Send one to your Congressman and one to each Senator.

Later, when the weather is a bit warmer and fountains are running water (rather than frozen!) this sort of protest can be repeated with LOOSE tea in select cities.

For the Tea Party, take the “guns, gays and God” thing and shelve it folks.

From the left, take the “I want my mathematically-impossible freebie” and shelve it folks.

Here’s the punch line, in case you missed it in the Huffington Post article:

“The Occupy movement has remained adamant about not drafting a list of demands because terrorists make demands, and we’re not terrorists,” said Pope, a graphic design student. “We shouldn’t have to demand a democratic process.”

Remember the shopworn criticism from The Right, and from the mainstream media?  “There’s no list of demands.“  Well it’s true that there’s no list of demands, because there shouldn’t have to be demands.  Demands are made by terrorists; the rule of law is followed in a representative republic, and does not need to be stated as a demand as it is implied in any lawful, rational, rights-based society and government.

Wake up and smell the coffee damnit.  The Attorney General of Nevada just issued a 600+ count indictment against criminal behavior in bank-sponsored foreclosure actions.  Hundreds of counts of felony misconduct are alleged.  That leaves just 99,400 more that have yet to be charged nationally, does it not?

The tide is turning.

We need a banking system but we do not need banks that run roughshod over the people with criminal behavior that no legitimate society and government should ever tolerate.

The tide is turning.

Not a damn thing has changed in this regard since 2007; the total notional value of derivatives has increased since that time and what’s worse is that they’re using your bank deposits as collateral to back them!  They have refused to put them on an exchange and back every dollar of underwater position with one dollar of capital from an actual shareholder or bondholder because if they were forced to do this they would not have the money to post the margin and they know it, which means that the “contracts” are no contract at all since it is impossible for them to perform.

This is the outright scheme and scam that is being run against you.  Bernanke is coddling these jackasses because he, along with Congress, are locked in a deadly embrace; they both know the above is true and they also both know that the economy does not have actual demand sufficient to absorb the supply — that is, a good part of the current so-called “GDP” is false just as it has been since 1980.

This must stop!

It is not a matter of politics.  It is a matter of arithmetic.

The tide is turning and we are about to be buried under a 500′ wall of water.

Europe is on the verge of economic collapse as a direct consequence of their refusal to face reality for the same 30 years.  We are next in line if we do not both ringfence our financial system and cut the crap in this country.

There is no way around the economic contraction that we must accept in order to restore balance to our economy.  There no way around the deflation of asset prices and the general economy.  There is no way to pay that which has been promised to many — the promises were intentionally fraudulent and the government agencies, representatives, senators, governors and presidents who made them knew it at the time.

This does not mean we cannot help people.  It does not mean we cannot fix our economic system.  It does not mean we cannot provide the assistance we are able and reform our economic, tax, medical, immigration and government structures to return competitiveness to American manufacturing and ultimately drive economic prosperity.  We can do all of those things, but not in the form and fashion we’ve claimed to do them up until this point.

But we cannot continue with Ponzi Finance and we must unite as a people around the singular goal of putting an immediate stop to it and jailing every one of the bastards that has promoted and continued these policies to the fullest reach and extent of the law.

The tide is turning and the available time to both lay in the sandbags and get to higher ground is running out.

More Truth About #OWS (Nashville)

Oh no, not the truth again!

Everything happened just the way Occupy Nashville protesters said it would.

The group of young Republicans from Vanderbilt University marched up to the group of Occupy Nashville protesters sitting on the steps to Legislative Plaza on Thursday evening.

The small group of about 20 students was armed with signs and chanting.

The group was quickly drowned out by a roar of cheers and applause from the nearly 150 Occupy Nashville protesters. Some called out, “We love you” to the students as the two groups faced each other: the students standing at the foot of the stairs and the Occupy Nashville group sitting at the entrance to the plaza.

Chanting from the students, “We are the debt generation!” was quickly amplified as Occupy Nashville protesters started joining in. It wasn’t long after that the two groups combined. Many shook hands and broke into small discussion groups, intent upon hearing each other’s views.

“We were so pleased that they accepted our welcome,” said William Howell, 64, one of the Occupy Nashville protesters who was arrested during last week’s protests. “I hope we continue to hear voices from that point of view. We have found that during our talks, we have a lot of the same interests.”

smiley

But Copus also thought it was great that the groups could come together.

People should be able to express their views, even if they don’t agree with each other,” he said.

http://bcove.me/0bqgezb8

Oh nooooos!  Not the First Amendment!  OH NO MR. BILL!

But if these guys are all a bunch of closed-minded Marxists and Communists, then how come this group of Republicans from the local college went out there and found….. applause?

And how is it that I, also a conservative when it comes to economics who believes in Capitalism, used the People’s Mic in Pensacola and found the response for my message was….. applause?

C’mon folks.  Let’s face it: The so-called Republicans that trumpet The Constitution are simply wrong when it comes to this group and their intentions, and the vast majority of the verbal bomb-throwers from The Right have not spent one minute at one of these gatherings personally and as such have absolutely no basis for their claimed opinions.

Get off your butt and go mingle with these folks.  They’re people, just like you, and if you spend a few minutes talking with them you might have the same experience I did: There is a wide variance of opinion represented but the vast majority of the people there have correctly identified the “who” in what’s wrong — many of them are searching for the “how”, and if you take the time to speak with them and have an exchange of ideas, you are likely to find that both of you are pleasantly surprised with the results.

#OWS: Conservatives Who Don’t Know It?

A funny thing happened when staffers from the famous conservative think tank, the American Enterprise Institute, visited Occupy Wall Street to see it with their own eyes.

The AEI staff approached their tour of Zuccotti Park with certain negative preconceptions, so they were very surprised to find the OWS protestors as articulate and well-informed as they are passionate.

Everywhere the AEI staffers looked, they saw evidence of free-market fundamentalism. They were impressed by the OWS camp’s order.

They were impressed by its water filtration system. They were impressed by the can-do spirit and abundance of entrepreneurship.

The AEI’s conclusion? The OWS protestors are actually “conservatives, they just don’t know it.”

I’d like to suggest a different conclusion: Perhaps the AEI should re-examine its own preconceptions of liberal.

For the past 50 years, a fierce war of indoctrination has been waged in this country, with corporate media forces in print, TV and radio focused on a single aim: to divide the American people and to keep them divided.

Because, divided we fall.

Divided, we are helpless to resist the one percent’s relentless hijacking of our government and our economy.

People like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity are richly paid because of their talent for dividing the American people, for their skill at pushing the buttons that makes certain segments of the 99 percent hate other segments of the 99 percent.

Fox “News” is a propaganda machine devoted to dividing the people, and keeping them divided.

Occupy Wall Street is striking a chord because it is uniting people across the political spectrum. The prospect of such unity is the worst nightmare for corporate USA and its subsidiary, the U.S. Congress.

OWS has reinvigorated the “Move Your Money” movement, with people across the USA closing their big bank accounts and moving their deposits to local banks and credit unions. There is a nationwide Occupy Bailed Out Banks day on Saturday.

Since I’ve enjoyed free checking, free checks and fee-less, friendly services at small banks for 20 years, I was shocked when I read an article today about the big bank push for customer fee hikes in 2012.

I was stunned to learn about the monthly fees that big bank customers apparently pay on a regular basis, just for the privilege of banking.

So let me get this straight, customers deposit their hard-earned cash into big banks, which in turn use that money for the purpose of creating profit for Wall Street CEOs and the big bank charges ever-increasing fees to those customers for this privilege? And people pay these fees? Are people crazy?

If you have savings or checking accounts with one of the big six, you are paying way too much. Consider moving your money to a locally-owned bank or to a credit union. You will enjoy better service at a lower cost. And keeping your money local means you are investing in your own local economy. It’s a win-win!

To learn more about move-your-money and Occupy events near you, Google OccupyTogether.org and search your town’s name.

So Again I Ask: WHERE IS THE SO-CALLED TEA PARTY? #TCOT #OWS

Hell hath frozen.  This article is a MUST-READ! ‘He has a right to speak,’ said the cop to the banker.’

Like most bullies, the banks are cowards. They talk a big game, but if confronted with their crimes, they run for cover and go whining to “mommy.”

Today, I walked up and down a sidewalk, in front of a branch of Chase and a branch of BofA. I handed out about 250 flyers during lunch hour.

They panicked and called their private security people, then more private security and finally the cops. That’s when they found out that they didn’t have a leg to stand on.

A dedicated leftist (he’s posting on Kos, right?) trumps The So-Called “Tea Party” AGAIN.

Where are you folks?  Why aren’t you in front of these banks?

Oh, that’s right — you stand for The Constitution and they didn’t break any laws, right?

Except for all the ones they have admitted to under oath — or where someone other than a bankster went to jail, like:

  • Jefferson County Alabama

  • Money laundering for Mexican drug cartels.

  • Intentionally and knowingly peddling crap loans

  • Filing over 100,000 known perjured affidavits

  • And selling crap CDOs as “good investments.”

And that’s just a “quick list” of a few examples, and by no means is exhaustive.  Every one of those is a criminal act by the way, ranging from fraud to perjury to knowingly assisting in a criminal enterprise that has been buying guns and planes to run drugs with.

So where is the insistence on the “Rule of Law”?  You know, the one you want to enforce when it comes to “One man, one woman” with marriage?  Or “no gays in the military”?  Or, for that matter, The Second Amendment?

Ah, I get it.  The rule of law only matters when it applies to a particular thing you like.  The rest of the time, it doesn’t count at all.  In fact, you’ll willfully close your eyes and ignore the lawbreaking when your buddy does it; the screaming only commences when your political enemy is a participant.

My objection, ladies and gentlemen, is that this is no different than what the Democrats do.  “Health Care reform” anyone?  The Rule of Law will be enforced to make you buy health insurance, but not to protect your right to own and bear a firearm or to choose NOT to engage in commerce.

No difference here folks.  The so-called “Tea Party” is a black-sharpie marker 10 Commandments serial violator just as are the die-hard liberals on the left.

But to see someone actually engage in First Amendment speech in front of a bank and document it on The Daily Kos, which is about as far removed from my political views as one could be and still manage to find the points on the vector within the orbit of Mars, well, that’s remarkable.

What’s disgusting is that this story appeared on The Daily Kos before it appeared on a Tea Party-affiliated web site.

Pack it up or reform folks, because as things stand here and now you’ve no right to use the visage and memory of Sam Adams.
