On July 31st we are going to setup at 8am outside the Cannon house office building on the corner of Independence Ave and New Jersey Ave with a toilet with instructions for people to deposit their collateral into the bowl in exchange for a loan from the Fed Up USA.

We need people though, so far with short notice we have about 20 people confirmed to show but we're allowed to have 75. I would like it if enough people showed up that we are asked to leave...

So, are you Fed Up with $4 gas, out of control food priced and the risk that the Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson are going to substantially raise your taxes just so their banker buddies can keep their vacation homes and private yachts?

Couple of ground rules though.

Number one; this isn't a party issue. So far both democrats and republicans have sat on their asses save for a few like Jim Bunning.

Number two; this is a peaceful demonstration. If we get enough people there that it shuts down traffic and they ask us to leave, then we leave. There will be no fighting with the police, there will be no sit-in's etc. There will be a documentary videographer there to capture the event so we will make a point even if they ask us to leave.

Number three; this is to protest the Fed and / or the government using taxpayer money to bail out the banks and also to stop the abusive practices of Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson. It is not to protest anything else like the war in Iraq, gay marriage, abortion, etc...

So rain or shine come out and show your support and show government and the Fed that you're not going to roll over and let them stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
